Infectious Disease Control
Construction projects in hospitals and other medically sensitive facilities create dust with the potential to spread airborne contaminants into occupied patient areas. Enviro-Tech Services works closely with general contractors and facility administrators to design and construct engineering controls and physical barriers to prevent airborne contaminants from escaping work areas. These measures reduce the potential for the inadvertent cross-contamination of patient care areas.
Enviro-Tech Services designs and constructs physical barriers, strategically locates air filtration equipment to create negative pressurization, and constructs ante rooms (decontamination chambers) equipped with tacky mats in order to control particulates. All demolition debris, dust, and other construction-related waste is then sealed in polyethylene bags before it is removed from the work areas to further control the spread of potentially infectious agents.
All of our field personnel are trained in OSHA’s Hazardous Communication Standards, chemical safety, and mold remediation. Daily safety meetings at the job site reinforce this training.
